Established in April 2004, Bank of St Helena is the only indigenous, retail and commercial bank on the island. The St Helena Branch is also the Bank’s Head Office and serves a population of approximately 4,500.

The Ascension Branch serves a non-indigenous population of approximately 900, comprising mainly St Helenian, UK and US employees of the organisations operating on the island.
