The Privacy Policy is in no way a legal document; however, it is a mandatory compliance for all employees and associated personnel of the Bank to adhere to this policy. We may change this policy at any time in which amended versions will be made available, in a timely manner, on our website. Data Protection

The Bank adheres to best practice with regard to data protection of our customers’ personal and financial information.

The personal information you give us will be treated in confidence and will not be disclosed to any third parties except where permitted by law or where your consent has been received (see above).  Under our adherence to best practice in privacy and data protection, a customer’s information will be held on our systems and may be used in the following ways:

  • To process and respond to requests, enquiries and complaints received from you
  • To assist us in providing the service for which you have applied (e.g. regular receipt of bank statements)
  • To keep you informed of another services which may be of interest to you
  • Enquiries may also be made from credit checking agencies or organisation, and in such cases the Bank will only disclose information to this third party if consent is given by you and with your prior knowledge

Customer Rights

  • You have the right to be informed of the way in which your Personal Data is processed. You also have the right to obtain confirmation if Personal Data concerning you is being processed and to access and obtain a copy thereof.
  • You have the right to know, where possible, the period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period.
  • You have the right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
  • You have the right to obtain the erasure of your Personal Data (‘right to be forgotten’). However, this is not and absolute right and the Bank may have legal or legitimate grounds for keeping such Personal Data.
  • In some cases, you have the right to obtain restriction of the processing of your Personal Data.
  • You have the right to receive your Personal Data, which you have provided to the Bank in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit that data to another controller without hindrance from the Bank. This right only applies when the processing of your Personal Data is based on your consent and such processing is carried out by automatic means.
  • You have the right to object, at any time, to the processing of your Personal Data. When you exercise your right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to a processing based on the legitimate interest of the Bank, we may, however, invoke compelling legitimate grounds to continue the processing.
  • You may revoke your consent at any time to the processing of your Personal Data when such processing is based on your consent. The revoking of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of such consent prior to the revocation of consent.
  • You have the right to contact your Data Protection Authority to complain about the Bank’s Personal Data protection practices.
