Bank of St Helena Ltd is pleased to announce Joey George, Managing Director, has successfully achieved her Postgraduate Certificate in Bank Management and Technology (CertBMT) with Distinction from the Bangor University, Wales UK.
This qualification is a standalone professional qualification for bankers and other financial services professionals. In addition to achieving the qualification Joey has also gained the globally recognised prestigious Chartered Banker designation (MCBI) through the Chartered Bankers Institute.
The Chartered Banker Institute is the largest professional body for bankers in the UK with members and students in over 100 countries worldwide. It is the only organisation in the world approved by the UK’s Privy Council to award the “Chartered Banker” designation to qualified members.
Chartered Banker status is the gold standard for professionals working in the banking sector. Holders of the title are recognised as highly qualified professionals with a detailed knowledge of modern banking management and its ethical and professional requirements.

“The course allowed me to benchmark the Bank against others in the industry along with developing the necessary skills in dealing with an evolving digital banking world.
